Bring the experience closer.
Tuck the sound of water beside a seating area, patio, or walkway so it becomes part of your everyday outdoor routine.
Custom Pondless Waterfalls
Bring the sound of moving water closer to the places you love to spend time. A custom Pondless waterfall fits naturally beside a patio, along a garden path, or into a smaller backyard.
Designed and installed in Southern Maine & Seacoast New Hampshire

Big atmosphere. Flexible footprint.
A Pondless waterfall gives you the movement and sound of a stream without an open pond at its base. Water disappears through decorative stone into a hidden underground reservoir, then a pump sends it back to the top.
Every feature we build is custom. We shape the stream, select the stone, and position the cascades around your space and the way you want to enjoy it.
Tuck the sound of water beside a seating area, patio, or walkway so it becomes part of your everyday outdoor routine.
From a compact cascade to a longer winding stream, the layout is designed around your property rather than a fixed footprint.
Without fish to support, a Pondless feature can be switched off when you’re away. It still needs routine care, but typically less than a fish pond.
Real Timeless Waterscapes projects
The 10-foot stream above and these two compact features show how much personality can fit into different spaces.

Moss, lichen-covered stone, and small cascades create a natural focal point close to the walkway and surrounding outdoor space.

A short stream and layered stone bring movement and sound to a tighter setting, with the reservoir concealed beneath the gravel.

Where does the water go?
A series of cascades creates the movement and sound along your custom stream.
A lined underground reservoir collects and stores the water below the surface.
A pump inside an accessible vault sends the water through concealed plumbing back to the top.
The reservoir is selected to suit the design. Compact features can use an AquaBasin 45; larger streams can use an AquaBlox reservoir with a pump vault.
Planning your investment
A small feature can make a meaningful difference. We’ll talk about the sound you want, where you’ll enjoy it, and the character of your landscape before shaping the design.
Stream length, boulder selection, site access, and preparation all influence the final investment. Longer streams and more involved landscapes are quoted individually.
Custom Pondless installations
Every project receives a custom proposal. Existing feature removal and additional site work are priced separately. Lighting and automatic top-off options can be discussed during planning.
Talk through your projectA few good questions
The rock and gravel conceal a reservoir that stores and recirculates the water. It’s a good fit when you want the sound and movement of a waterfall with a smaller footprint and simpler care. An open pond offers a different experience if fish and water lilies are part of your vision.
Yes. A fishless Pondless waterfall can be switched off without the continuous circulation needs of a fish pond. Before restarting, check the reservoir water level and clear accumulated debris. Freezing weather calls for a seasonal shutdown or a plan for monitored winter operation.
It means less ongoing care than a typical fish pond, rather than no care. Leaves and debris need clearing, the water level needs checking, and the pump and stream need periodic cleaning. Algae can still grow on wet stone.
Often, yes. A compact stream can fit beside a patio, walkway, or garden where a larger pond may not suit the space. Every design is custom, and we’ll assess the available room, grade, access, and reservoir needs with you.
